The second day of the High Grounds Festival marks the morning exercise conducted by yoga instructor Matija Krainc. After exercise, there is a healthy breakfast prepared by the association “Medenjak” and opportunity for you to make a homemade smoothie with HG volunteers. Matija Bobek with his “Puzzled Wood” workshop and Ljiljana Belavić Kliček with her “Face Paint” workshop will entertain kids and make them happy and joyful. A children’s playground will be held in the morning and afternoon.
Exactly at noon, Dina Zebec at her workshop will show you how to make paper. Also, you will be able to experience “Cruel reality” in never-seen-performance in this area. Dj Zeko with his large collection of vinyl’s will welcome the brewery (UPS), which will prepare you a top craft beers for tasting and show you the process of cooking. In the afternoon playground for children, Edo (with guests percussionists Dario and Igor) will join Matija and LJiljana in the percussion workshop clinic where children can see and try different percussion instruments. After the playground, there is another interesting performance directed by Sven Tomašić and Marko Jović on the theme “Pollution – Nature vs. Society”.
The evening of the second day of the High Grounds Festival at the main stage is reserved for ethno, jazz and good old rock. The evening opens the band “Če bo bo Če na na” with their musical opus, in which they try to connect young and old generations by recalling past times and a different context of life, but without leaving the “modern spirit” completely. After that, a young band from city of Varaždin called “Cusravci” will swing a night in the jazz rhythms. All this is overture in the performance of the “Chui” band, whose music is difficult to describe, and the evidence of quality is the numerous awards and positive criticisms that those people gained and deserved. After Chui, the band “Ogenj”, with their energetic folk-rock performances, will also blow up the atmosphere. All those who were last year on HG festival knows about the Requiem band, with their own singles or with the covers of a rock classics. The evening ends with Dj Tomekk with rock and disco hits.
The High Grounds Festival also boasts other alternative stages that will rock the day in chill and dub rhythms, while the evening is reserved for house, tech house and techno, performed by Bertrand Kartel (bel), Rigo (aut), Surely (aut), Edo percussion_dj, PALACHINKA, Veleš and Patrik Kanižanec.
